Monday, September 2, 2-4 PM: Intention and Invocation

The roots of the word intention mean to stretch toward, to extend. Vocare, to call or to vocalize, is at the root of invocation. What will you reach for on this retreat? What calls you? Whom or what might you summon for encouragement? We sit with these questions and see what arises when we “breathe/read/write” together, which involves meditating silently, reading a poem as a prompt, free-writing, and sharing what comes through. We do two rounds, and Lisa guides each step. You don’t need any meditation or free-writing experience.

Tuesday, September 3, 10 AM-12 PM: Conversing with Nature

We listen to the water, winds, birds, trees, grasses and take in their languages. Then we listen to a prompt poem and free-write our responses. To “breathe/read/write” together means to meditate silently, free-write, and share what comes through. We do two rounds, and Lisa guides each step. You don’t need any meditation or free-writing experience.

Please note: Your festival pass must be purchased separately.
